Good morning.

I’m truly sorry.

I ended up taking a full-on vacation.

Thanks to that, I’m absolutely bursting with energy!

Alright, let’s go for it this week too

...

Hmm… where did we leave off?

I took a bit too long of a break and forgot some points.

Let me review what we covered in the previous lecture.

I’m truly sorry.

I haven’t made any progress since last month.

Honestly, with US stock indices surging so sharply, I decided to wait and see for a bit.

But starting today, I’m back in action!

Where do things really stand?

Is the U.S. economy genuinely holding up?

Even if it is, let’s keep our studies going—I’ll make sure we achieve results.

In this course, we’ll focus on hands-on manufacturing.

A bit of a problem has come up: it concerns home-use machine tools.

Most of these consumer-grade machine tools are made in China.

There’s President Trump’s tariff issue, which raises the question of whether they can be obtained at a low price within the United States.

You know what?

If it’s too difficult, let’s just build the machine tools ourselves.

To start, I’m planning to revise part of the course content so that you’ll be able to build your own home-use machine tools.

That will solve the problem!

Everyone, you’re probably thinking this is difficult.

And it certainly is.

Chinese-made home-use machine tools are excellent—I admit that myself.

In recent years, their performance has increased dramatically.

Honestly, I’m truly amazed by it.

However, we have no choice but to do it.

In any case, imports will come to a halt…

I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

I really don’t—but there’s nothing we can do about it.

So our only option is to build them ourselves!

From here on, I’ll guide you through how to develop, design, and manufacture home-use machine tools, measuring instruments, and more.

At first, we might not be able to build anything outstanding.

We will gradually improve its performance.

However, there’s an economic security issue.

For that reason, once we reach a certain level of performance, I’ll pause the instruction.

There’s nothing we can do about this issue!

We must not further escalate the conflicts and wars happening around the world.

From here on, you’ll have to rely on your own skills.

However, by using materials that can be sourced within the United States, you should be able to build high-performance equipment.

These materials would be difficult to procure outside the United States.

To be honest, this is a competition.

It’s just like a sport.

I think you’ll find this incredibly exciting once you give it a try.

At first, things might not go smoothly.

But there will come a moment when you feel a sudden surge in your skills!

From here on, feel free to experiment to your heart’s content.

As long as you’re within the United States, you should be able to do it!

President Trump, regarding the tariff issue…

I’m truly torn.

Nevertheless, we will give it our all.

We humbly ask for your support.

...

First, we will develop a product that uses electronic circuits.

To do that, we’ll need an electronic measuring instrument beforehand.

So our very first design will be this electronic measuring instrument—created entirely by ourselves.

It seems that U.S. manufacturers are struggling quite a bit with this electronic measuring instrument.

Meanwhile, Chinese companies are pushing ahead with developing extremely high-performance products at very low prices.

That’s right… they must be having a really tough time.

We need to tackle this major problem immediately.

This is a difficult problem even for the major U.S. measuring‐instrument manufacturers.

We need to solve it ourselves…

What are we going to do about this…?

It’s an extremely difficult problem, even for major corporations.

How can we possibly solve this…?

This is…

What do we do now…?

If you’re in the U.S., you can get high-performance electronic devices at low prices.

We’re not giant companies like Apple or Dell.

That’s exactly why there are things we can do.

Put simply, it means we can be agile.

Since we are the very users ourselves, we can acquire exactly what we truly need.

After all, we’re the ones who will actually use it.

In other words…

We can build the products we truly want—the ones even the biggest manufacturers don’t know they need!

If something isn’t needed, it isn’t needed—and if something is needed, it is needed.

This approach makes it easier to use and enables substantial cost savings.

And our motto: “Light, Affordable, and Stylish!”

We must never forget it.

It has to look cool!

And we need to make it something that can sell around the world.

This, too, is ridiculously difficult.

We must be able to sell it to the world.

This ties into economic security.

We need to split this into U.S. domestic and overseas versions.

So you all need to understand which items can be sold on the international market and which cannot.

It’s insanely difficult… but we’ve got no choice but to do it!

Otherwise, we simply won’t be able to sell our products on the international market.

I’ll say it again: it’s extremely difficult for each individual to decide whether to export overseas.

It isn’t ideal, but I feel that Chinese companies tend to overlook this issue.

In fact, this has become an international issue.

We must abide by the rules.

We have to play the game within those rules.

Come on—if you just ignore the rules, you’ll obviously be unbeatable!

If we both ignore the rules, it’ll be a Mad Max world!

Even if our opponents flout the rules to challenge us, we’ll stick to the rules and come out victorious!

I’ll say it again: if you ignore the rules, you’re guaranteed to win.

Unfortunately, I feel that Chinese companies are engaging in this behavior.

As fellow Asians, it’s truly regrettable.

I hope this issue will be firmly managed.

Today, I’m going to talk about the right mindset.

I think President Trump must have blown his top over this.

I can understand why.

Well, I think so too.

Chinese-made home-use machine tools are remarkably high-performance.

It’s no exaggeration to say they can build just about anything.

However, there are people who use this for malicious purposes…

They know this, and yet they’re selling them as home-use products.

I don’t think that’s a good thing.

We need to go head-to-head with them in the marketplace and still make sales.

And, of course, we have to earn a profit.

I’ll also work on finding a good approach.

If possible, please brainstorm with me.

Thank you!
